Transport Operator (Temp to Perm)
Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour (£28,000 per annum) + night premium allowance (£1,099.89)

Key Responsibilities

As a Transport Operator, you’ll play a key part in keeping the fleet safe, legal and running efficiently. Day-to-day, you will:

• Oversee daily transport operations
• Manage vehicle and driver compliance
• Monitor driver performance & hours legislation
• Assign fleet and drivers via the planning system
• Liaise with depots and delivery points
• Handle driver debriefs, delivery issues, and returns
• Manage breakdowns, paperwork, invoicing and reports
• Support stock allocation and departure schedules

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within transport operations
• Understanding of driver hours & compliance
• Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Confident communicator with a can-do attitude
• Organised, deadline-driven and a strong team player
• Experience with transport management systems is ideal, but training is available for the right person
