Location: Birmingham – Office Based | Driver essential for this role

Hours: Full-time, 40.5 hours per week

We are recruiting for a dynamic and detail-focused Assistant Merchandiser to join a fast-paced fashion retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in merchandising who is eager to develop their skills further across both store and ecommerce channels.


What you’ll be doing:
  • Coordinate and manage the booking and receipt of stock deliveries, ensuring timely intake aligned with warehouse capacity.
  • Track product movements across storage locations and third-party processors, flagging priority lines when needed.
  • Support the critical path process by ensuring samples and approvals are in place for upcoming deliveries.
  • Prepare store allocation guidance and daily web pick lists, maintaining optimal stock levels across channels.
  • Monitor stock availability and update warehouse location data, resolving discrepancies.
  • Produce daily and weekly trading reports, highlighting key performance trends.
  • Assist in planning and executing seasonal repeats and reorders, ensuring prompt placement.
  • Liaise with ecommerce teams to support online launches, image/content accuracy, and partner site updates.
  • Identify web bestsellers and collaborate on markups, stock transfers, and promotional opportunities.
  • Provide input for marketing campaigns and social content by identifying high-potential or timely product lines.

What we’re looking for:
  • Background in a comparable merchandising position, preferably within a retail or online environment
  • Involved in full-cycle seasonal planning and strategic development
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with strong administrative capabilities
  • Team-focused and forward-thinking, driven by commercial performance and margin optimisation
