We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Merchandiser with strong digital trading experience to lead merchandising operations across web platforms. This role is integral to planning, trading and driving profitability across online channels for a growing retail business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure timely intake of all purchase orders, resolving any delays and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Review warehouse and store allocations to optimise availability and reduce terminal stock.
- Lead and manage departmental WSSI performance, identifying risks and actions to drive sales and margin.
- Conduct seasonal sales and performance analysis to support strategic range planning.
- Identify and plan for core and repeat styles in collaboration with buying and leadership teams.
- Develop and manage product option plans aligned with Open to Buy (OTB) budgets.
- Oversee content team to ensure accurate and timely product launches online.
- Propose and implement digital trading actions to maximise ecommerce sales.
- Coordinate promotions and markdown strategies across web and store channels.
- Support and develop junior merchandising staff through coaching, feedback, and cross-departmental collaboration.
What we’re looking for:
- Work collaboratively and consultatively across all departments.
- Manage direct reports in line with the client's internal policies and procedures.
- Support the client by motivating, coaching, and developing team members through consistent and constructive feedback.
- Strong background in merchandising at a senior level
- Confident working with WSSI, option planning and trading analysis
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and planning skills
