Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Policy Support
- Lead and advise on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, welfare and flexible working cases
- Draft and issue formal documentation such as invitation and outcome letters
- Support and lead return-to-work and investigation meetings
- Contribute to updating and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Support redundancy processes where required
General HR Operations
- Manage the probationary review process in partnership with line managers
- Maintain HR records and systems with high accuracy
- Prepare HR reports and support with data analysis in Excel
- Assist with writing job descriptions and person specifications
- Support recruitment activity: posting job ads, shortlisting, liaising with agencies, and conducting interviews
- Prepare offer letters and contracts of employment
- Coordinate induction and onboarding processes
Administrative & Payroll Liaison
- Maintain personnel files and ensure all HR documentation is filed appropriately
- Respond to reference and data requests
- Liaise with payroll for absence reporting and new starter information
- Manage the HR inbox and general HR queries
- Coordinate temporary staffing arrangements in partnership with external agencies
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role
- Confident managing ER cases independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Sound working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Excel
- Up-to-date understanding of UK employment legislation
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel on occasion
