Location: Rugeley (hybrid)

Working hours: 9:00 – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £18,000

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join a dynamic and supportive organisation as a Finance Apprentice. This is an excellent opening for a motivated and career-driven individual who is looking to kickstart a career within finance, with full support provided towards achieving the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

Our client, a well-established and growing business, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic apprentice to join their busy finance department. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a solid foundation in finance and administration while gaining valuable qualifications and experience.


Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Creating and processing sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Chasing outstanding payments in line with company procedures and allocating payments accordingly
  • Maintaining effective credit control reporting
  • Handling purchase invoices and ensuring timely data entry
  • Responding to customer queries and directing them to the appropriate team
  • Supporting the wider team with general administration tasks including telephone handling and call directing
  • Booking travel and accommodation, ensuring cost-effective arrangements
  • Managing office consumables and assisting with lunch provision when required
  • Meeting and greeting visitors and ensuring they are signed in appropriately
  • Processing and posting weekly expenses in line with business needs

What we’re looking for:
  • A keen interest in building a career in finance
  • GCSE Maths essential
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Trustworthy, discreet and professional
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn

The role will also include:
  • Dedicated time (20% of working hours) to attend college or complete online learning for the AAT Level 2 Certificate
  • Exposure to a wide range of financial processes and business administration tasks
  • Ongoing support from a friendly, experienced team
