We are looking for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our clients team. You will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining vehicle tyres, ensuring all services meet safety standards. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and replace tyres on vehicles and plant equipment.
- Inspect vehicles for damaged, worn, or punctured tyres and determine necessary action.
- Balance wheels to prevent vibrations and ensure smooth vehicle operation.
- Perform wheel alignment checks and adjustments for proper handling and tyre wear.
- Maintain accurate records of all tyre services, repairs, and stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Manage tyre stock and order supplies as required.
- Handle administrative duties, including job cards, reports, and invoicing.
- Prioritise and manage unplanned breakdowns and emergencies efficiently.
- Support customer service by managing appointments and providing timely services.
Qualifications & Training:
- GCSEs (Grade 9-4) or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Fitting (Preferred).
- Full UK driving licence (Required).
- Previous experience in a similar role or the civil engineering sector.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance and tyre-related safety standards.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical understanding of vehicle tyres and wheels.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
