Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Senior Commercial/Operations Managers from Blue Chip clients.
- Assist Contract Managers and Senior Management in financial matters related to specific contracts.
- Generate reports and applications for payment, ensuring timely submission.
- Manage sub-contractor approvals, allocate work, and maintain accurate records.
- Commercially manage projects, including cash flow forecasting and progress monitoring.
- Conduct regular cost/value reconciliations, analyse outcomes, and report on profitability.
- Attend weekly/monthly management meetings with clients to improve company cash flow position.
- Address payment discrepancies and outstanding balances on a weekly basis.
- Analyse and respond to commercial risks throughout the project cycle.
- Issue early warnings/claims/compensation events to clients and negotiate settlements.
- Provide administration support to the existing commercial team, including data entry and filing.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including utilities sector experience
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel spreadsheet systems
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Contract Law
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong numerical and financial management skills
- Articulate and client-facing
- UK Driving License Holder
