Our client is an International Business and part of a larger growing Group, and they are looking for an enthusiastic ledger professional to come in and support on both sides of the ledger, both purchase & sales ledgers. The primary focus of the role is to complete all tasks related to the Accounts Receivable and Payable functions of transactional finance related to the groups motor division. 

Your new role


  • Maintain the database of New Suppliers and New Customers, ensuring all contact details are kept up to date and accurate and the correct pricing/invoice distribution is set up in the system
  • Processing any payments through the Purchase and Sales Ledgers to maintain an accurate and up to date picture of the outstanding balances.
  • Process Invoice and Credits for suppliers
  • Reconcile statements back to the ledger to ensure all invoices are processed correctly 
  • Ensure all invoices are approved in time with due dates and all payments are made with the agreed timelines and remittances are sent out to suppliers.
  • Proactive Credit Control, ensuring aged/bad debt is kept to a minimum 
  • Raise any invoices for customers and dealers for monthly charges and adhoc charges 
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Daily Cash allocation
  • Answering and dealing with customer queries, and escalating any unresolved queries to payment
  • Checking intra-company reconciliations, and raising POs and SOs for any intercompany transactions and raising invoices and credits for these transactions.
What you'll need
  • Experience with both sales ledger and purchase ledger duties 
  • Working knowledge of input VAT 
  • Enthusiastic personality and the willingness to learn and challenge yourself in a new company/industry
  • Good level of Excel skills and working knowledge of an ERP system
  • Ideally AAT studier

37.5 hours a week
Mon-Fri 9-5.30 with an hours lunch

Salary

£24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
