Newly created position for a prestigious and professional organisation based in Birmingham City Centre. Supporting the Credit Manager and leading a team of 6 Credit Controllers, our client is looking for a confident and experienced Credit professional, with proven experience managing or supervising a team.

Your new role

  • Being the first point on contact for any escalations or queries from the Credit Control Team
  • Responsible for the training and development of skills in the team, monitoring, mentoring and motivating in order to deliver optimum performance 
  • Deputising for the Credit Manager in their absence 
  • Performing regular ledger reviews with the Credit Controllers
  • Attending regular debt reviews and finance meetings 
  • Monitoring performance of the team against key performance indicators, reporting to the credit manager on progress
  • Providing technical input, support and expertise into investigation, negotiation and settlements of debts.
  • Supporting the Credit Manager in collating audit requirements 

What you'll need

  • Previous staff management experience 
  • CICM qualified or studying towards completion 
  • Strong Excel skills and be able to present financial data to non finance colleagues 
  • Proven track record of resolving queries and meeting targets
