You will be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining the throughput of various Technical Projects across the IT function. Meeting project deadlines is essential and incorporating skills in scripting will Develop and assist Testing through their lifecycles. Aiding the smooth transition into Production you will need to develop and maintain the Web Automation tools provided to ensure these are always efficient and effective

 
·         Developing Scripts and Programs in line with Project Charters

·         React to Service Desk Requests and Incidents

·         Report and escalate to management as needed

·         Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

·         Create and maintain comprehensive documentation

·         Providing support to workstreams within IT and externally

·         To ensure a robust testing process is in place and followed by the wider organisation 

·         Establish, monitor, and review the performance of the tools that are used to deliver successful IT Testing and Development whilst constantly looking at new technology

·         Work closely with Managers, Architects, Project Managers/Co-ordinators, Development teams and other stakeholders across the business to deliver on agreed outcomes and Project Charters
 
 

The Role:

As an Infrastructure Application Developer, your main responsibilities will be to:

 

·         Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time

·         Review, support and develop applications as requested 

·         Ensure system resource, availability and allocation for Testing and Development

·         Maintain project plans to aid the tracking of Project and testing progress

·         Maintain the relationship with all stakeholders and third parties/vendors

·         Flag project risks as they may arise

·         Continually review the testing practices used, evolving and editing them as needed so that they remain fit for purpose

·         Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery and develop accordingly

·         Prioritise and plan activities, taking into account all the relevant issues such as deadlines and resource requirements

·         Evaluate and help select testing services, suppliers and test tools

 

The Person:

As an Infrastructure Application Developer, you will need:

 

·         Strong technical and analytical ability, plus a good degree of IT/PC/Script literacy, particularly in the use of business applications

·         Knowledge of testing lifecycle and signoff accountability

·         Direct experience of working on and supporting complex projects / programs, coupled with a good understanding of project tracking, planning and reporting

·         The ability to work to agreed deadlines.

·         Experience of working with ERP systems within a commercial environment

·         A desire to learn about Software development lifecycle and Test processes including Automation and Manual techniques

 

To be an Infrastructure Application Developer, you must have:

 

·         Scripting protocols such as C#, Javascript, HTML, .NET, RPG, SQL

·         Microsoft cloud applications such as Azure and MS Flow

·         Web Automation Testing Tools desirable

·         A knowledge of project management methodologies (eg Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, PRINCE2) in relation to planning, monitoring and controlling projects throughout their lifecycle.

·         Strong time management skills and organisational skills are critical
