First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Parts Controller on behalf of one of our clients.
The successful candidate will assist the Service Controller as part of a team, in sourcing and managing required parts for Bennie in Material handling equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving and distribution of forklift spare parts.
- Identify and source parts for different forklift makes and models.
- Process parts enquiries from customers, service engineers and internal teams.
- Prepare quotations and process sales orders and purchase orders
- Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks.
- Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders when required.
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and parts distributors regarding availability, pricing and delivery times.
- Arrange urgent parts deliveries to engineers and customers.
- Track backorders and keep customers and engineers updated.
- Manage returns, warranty parts and incorrect/damaged deliveries.
- Update parts and stock information on Protean, the company’s computer system.
- Help maintain an organised and efficient parts warehouse.
- Work closely with the service and workshop teams to minimise forklift downtime.
- Ensure invoices, delivery notes and purchase documentation are accurate.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve parts-related queries.
- Previous experience in forklift, plant, automotive, agricultural or industrial parts is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a service/parts team.
- Good negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise urgent requirements.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and stock/ERP systems.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Good knowledge of spare parts and part-number identification.
- Full UK driving licence may be required depending on the role
