Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Commercial Vehicle Technician on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Commercial Vehicle Technician:
  • Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz trucks.
  • Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.
  • Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
  • Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
  • Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
  • Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
  • Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.
Skills and Qualifications for the Commercial Vehicle Technician:
  • You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV and/or LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.

  • Precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency.
