Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Technical Support Manager on behalf of our client.

The successful candidate will provide technical support across depot and dealer networks, deliver technical and health & safety training, carry out audits, and act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to support engineers both remotely and on-site while ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to engineers and the dealer network via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Deliver technical and Health & Safety training courses, including preparation of training materials and handouts.
  • Conduct Health & Safety toolbox talks in line with Safe Systems of Work.
  • Carry out field, workshop, and resident engineer audits.
  • Produce technical service bulletins and Health & Safety bulletins when required.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports following support visits.
  • Support warranty administration processes and systems.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain technical information and training updates.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify, resolve, and provide feedback on technical issues.
  • Assist with depot Health & Safety and quality audits.
  • Carry out compliance audits to ensure Safe Systems of Work are maintained.
  • Support new engineer induction training modules.
  • Provide technical support and training to the sales team.
  • Attend product training courses and develop internal and dealer training plans.
  • Contribute to business development projects as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience delivering and presenting training courses is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Ability to remain impartial and professional.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required.
