HGV Class 1 Drivers (Tramping)

AL858: Class 1 HGV Driver (Tramping) 

Location: St Neots 

Salary: £40,000 + 

Overview:  

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver on behalf of one of our clients. 
 
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Flatbed experience (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Load and unload securely and efficiently, ensuring proper securing techniques are applied.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, road regulations and road safety standards while operating the vehicle.
• Have construction logistics knowledge /experience (preferred).
• Have good communication skills to quickly understand instructions including movement orders and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers. 

 
Skills and Qualifications:  

• Full UK driving licence. 
• Valid CPC & tacho card. 
• Will take newly qualified drivers with a good work attitude.
