Civil Engineer

Salary: £30,000-£50,000

Location: Oxford.

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Civil Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with teams, colleagues, and clients.
• Work independently under the supervision of a Senior Civil Engineer and Associate Civil Engineer.
• Assist with the delivery of projects.
• Produce flood risk assessments (FRA’s) and drainage strategies.
• Develop highways, earthworks, external works, and drainage designs.
• Produce civil engineering drawings and layouts.
• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation under the supervision of a Senior Civil Engineer and Associate Civil Engineer.
• Participate in the resolution of technical issues and apply problem-solving skills to projects.

Skills and qualifications:

• A degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng).
• Proven experience in a similar role to have gained relevant knowledge.
• Experience with AutoCAD and preparing engineering drawings, particularly Civil 3D.
• Experience with Info Drainage [desirable].
• An understanding/awareness of Highway and Drainage section agreements (38, 278, and 104) [desirable].
