Overview:
First Military Executive Recruitment are currently engaged with a business who, through expansion, are seeking an agile and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee all operational aspects of the business. This role will report directly into the Managing Director and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of the site, focusing on Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, production processes, quality control, and planned and reactive maintenance.
Our client is willing to offer relocation support as part of the package as they are requiring the successful candidate to live within 20 miles of Stoke on Trent.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations.
- Oversee production efficiency and quality control of feedstock and output.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Department on product sales and distribution strategies.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team; fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Drive project management initiatives for a major investment aimed at doubling refinery capacity within the next two years.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance operational performance.
- Ability to lead teams, inspire employees, and drive performance.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams in fast paced industrial environment.
- Skills in planning, executing, and managing projects to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Strong ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions quickly.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
- Capacity and ability to adjust to changing circumstances and manage uncertainty effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering (highly desirable).
