Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electronics Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

To provide and manage processes that support many of the functions which are the responsibility of the Equipment Engineering/Facilities group.

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours pw, Mon-Fri working swing shift:

Week 1, 0600-1400

Week 2, 1400-2200

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Fault find and repair complex machine tool PCBs & to component level.
  • Provide direction to technician level personnel and provides support/assistance to Manufacturing Shift
  • Leaders and manufacturing support personnel.
  • To sustain, evaluate and improve uptimes of wafer fab processing equipment.
  • Communicate with EE Supervisor, Process Engineers and Process Operators.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction projects.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • HNC / HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering Apprenticeship or similar training.
  • Experience of employment in a similar environment or a placement where similar skills are used.
  • Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Flexible approach to work and multi-tasking as required.
  • Good communication skills and IT literate.
  • Ability to liaise with and sometimes negotiate with external suppliers.
  • Basic PC knowledge e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Willing to work swing shift pattern 6-2 / 2-10.
  • Possible call in rota at weekends.
Desirable:
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience of actively participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Circuit board component level fault finding.
  • Demonstrate good mechanical engineering understanding.
  • Experience of working shifts.
  • Working in a “Cleanroom” environment.
