Workshop Pump Fitter

First Military Recruitment are supporting an industry leading business looking for a Workshop Fitter based in Huddersfield.

This business is continuously growing and progressing their workforce, offering internal progression and an above average salary.

This role will see you specialising in Pumps, Valves, Heat Exchangers, and provide support to customers from cleaning, identifying issues and resolving, to stripping pumps.

 

Your duties as a Workshop Fitter

·         Strip & report any faults on customer pumps.

·         Carry out required repairs when authorised.

·         Complete timesheets to enable time worked to be allocated to specific jobs.

·         Comply with Health and Safety regulations at base and on site.

·         Repairing and testing of above pumping equipment.

·         General workshop duties including drilling, tapping and basic bench fitting.

·         Assist the Workshop Supervisor and Managers with ad hoc tasks.

 

The ideal candidate for this Workshop Fitter role:

·         Experience as a mechanical fitter

·         Solid experience working with pumps, values

·         Solid knowledge of administration

·         Is within a commutable distance of Huddersfield
