Location: Preston, Lancashire

Salary: £27,000 Per Year


First Military Recruitment are currently supporting a business that are looking to onboard a Warehouse / Driver for their Preston based site.

As a Warehouse Operative / Driver your workload will be split of 60% Warehouse work, and 40% Driving duties, where you will sort, and check stock for deliveries, and then transport materials to sites for the building team. 

Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.


Your duties as a Warehouse Operative / Driver:

• Ensure rush work orders are processed timely and accurately.
• Ensure all outbound goods are checked accordingly.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
• Maintain assigned racking and row upkeep.
• Perform auditing per schedule or as requested.
• Verify and load all orders.
• Complete daily safety inspection of assigned vehicle.
• Comply with daily maintenance and safety checks of all vehicles and equipment.
• Help unload/load trucks/vans.

Ideal experience for this Warehouse Operative / Driver role:

• Full clean driving license, or a maximum of 6 points.
• Ideally from a military background.
• Solid attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work between teams.
• Routine lifting, bending, and overhead stretching.
• Routine scanning of materials.
• Computer literate.

Important information:

• Working Hours – 08:30 – 16:30
• Monday to Friday
• £13 Per Hour / £27,000 Per Year
• 60% Warehouse work – 40% Driving duties
