Duties and Responsibilities for the Chef de Partie:
- Prepare dishes to the highest standards of quality, safety and consistency.
- Ensure recipes are followed to ensure risk of cross contamination are kept to a minimum.
- Ensure brand standards are followed to ensure consistency of quality.
- Work as part of a team in preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food.
- Follow standards and regulations relating with cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
- Ensure Chef is informed where food or other supplies need to be ordered.
- Check the quantity and quality of received products.
- Work with Head Chef to ensure departmental compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g. COSHH, HAACP, Fire & Food Hygiene)
- Ensure Head Chef is notified of equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- To follow hotels procedures.
- To ensure staff do not enter any unauthorised areas.
- To feed back any matters of concern as soon as possible to the Hotel Manager.
- To comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards.
- Passion for hospitality and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a fine dining environment is desirable.
- Ability to run designated section including day to day ordering.
- Commitment to teamwork and good communicational skills.
- Flexibility.
- Culinary qualifications (NVQs, apprentice) would be advantageous.
- You will have good time management.
- Demonstrate the ability to listen and follow clear instructions.
- Be passionate to learn and develop your skill set.
- Have a cool and calm attitude.
- You may need your own means of transport due to the location of the business.
Salary: £30,000 per annum
