Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

To achieve growth of all product sales and be an expert in labelling machinery. Implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company customer base and ensures its strong presence in the industry.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to quotation and sale.
  • Meet, present and demonstrate products to prospective clients.
  • Work with production team to ensure that machine specification, lead times, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and site installation dates are realistically achievable.
  • Regularly receive training for full understanding of all product types and company processes.
  • Enhance and promote company products and presence in the marketplace via media platforms, website and direct company contact.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with existing clients or use existing or available databases to communicate with potential clients for all product types.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Regularly present revenue reports and realistic sales forecasts to the management team.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Successful previous experience selling labelling or packaging machinery and consumables as a sales representative or sales manager, constantly meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Have an understanding or previous hands-on experience in engineering/packaging/labelling machine projects. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence decision makers. 
  • Computer literate including understanding and current use of CRM tools and common media platforms.
  • Flexibility to cope with new and changing demands of the position.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, show initiative and work independently.
  • Full clean driving licence for UK travel as and when required.
