Salary: £32,448 per annum basic
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
The role would be suitable for mechanically and electrical biased engineers from any type of maintenance/service background specifically general automotive technicians, HGV, mobile plant or forklift. The working hours for this role is Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 16:30 & Friday 8:00 - 16:00.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- The main purpose of the role will be to offer an excellent standard of service to customers and assist colleagues as required. This is an important and rewarding role within a highly technical environment.
- Service and maintenance of electric, diesel and LPG material handling equipment.
- Fault finding, planned preventive maintenance and pre-delivery inspection of fork trucks.
- Maintain and seek new opportunities to extend level of service provided to customers.
- Ensure electronic paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and parts required to complete job are ordered in a timely manner.
- Tools and equipment are kept in good working order and repairs carried out when required.
- Ensure company vehicle is maintained to a high standard and van stock levels are replenished as required.
- Personal presentation and communication standards are excellent at all times.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Mechanical / electrical / hydraulics engineering experience from an automotive background (plant/agricultural/commercial).
- Hands on electrical and mechanical experience.
- Clean current driving licence.
- Good health and safety working practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Excellent oral and written abilities.
- I.T. Literate.
- Working knowledge of computer diagnostics.
- Experience in the repair of forklift trucks (Diesel/gas/Electric).
- Experience in fabrication and welding.
- NVQ Level 3 (Electrical or vehicle maintenance).
