Orka Financial is currently partnering with an exciting business based in Slough who are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes to ensure correct approvals
  • Prepare and process weekly/monthly supplier payment runs (BACS/CHAPS)
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Allocate incoming receipts to customer accounts and maintain accurate records
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries relating to invoices and payments
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in bank transactions.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong excel skills.
