Senior Accountant
Slough, United Kingdom | Permanent| £65,000 - £70,000 per annum
Orka Financial is currently partnering with a business based in Slough that is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join the team. The role has responsibility for timely delivery of monthly management accounts whilst ensuring high accuracy and integrity of the numbers. You will also be involved in the production of the statutory accounts for the subsidiaries in the group and liaising with external auditors. The Senior Accountant will ensure visibility of the P&L and Balance Sheet for the region, including impacts on the monthly forecast and performance against budget. There is a strong commercial element to this role with plenty of interaction with the operations team, as well as the broader finance teams.
Duties will include,
Production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts with variance analysis to budget, commentary and reforecasting
Production of statutory accounts for subsidiaries of the group
Liaising with internal and external auditors
Completion and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Maintenance of Fixed Asset register and assisting with Capex reporting, including posting journals
Posting of journals including accruals and prepayments
Assist in the accounting for acquisitions and disposals of assets
The role requires a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with sold experience in management and financial accounting. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to analyse and interpret large amounts of data and have efficient time management skills.
The role is paying up to £70000 + benefits. The role is based in Slough, with parking and operates hybrid working.
