At Guildhall we are working with a well-known Insurance Broker who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our presence in the highly competitive UAE insurance market. With a rich history of providing specialized insurance consultancy services to a diverse clientele, we are looking for a talented individual to help further strengthen their position in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Proven Experience: With a minimum of 10+ years of work experience in the UAE insurance market, you will leverage your extensive knowledge to identify growth opportunities and foster relationships with clients and partners.
2. Client Portfolio Management: Demonstrate a strong client portfolio with a track record of healthy retention, managing a portfolio worth 5-8 million AED.
3. Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment to achieve our business objectives.
4. Insurance Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of all classes of insurance business lines, including Individual & Corporate Insurances, Marine, Medical, Motor, Professional Indemnity, Property All Risk, and more.
5. Sales Performance: Utilize your understanding of sales performance metrics to set and achieve targets, providing guidance and support to your team in reaching their goals.
6. Communication and Negotiation: Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders, facilitating successful business deals.
7. Business Acumen: Showcase strong business acumen with a problem-solving attitude, allowing you to identify and address challenges while driving strategic growth.
8. Education: A minimum post-graduate degree is required for this role, with an insurance certification being an advantageous asset.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum post-graduate degree, preferably in a related field such as Business, Finance, or Insurance.
  • Possession of relevant insurance certifications will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in the UAE insurance market, demonstrating a strong network and in-depth industry knowledge.
  • Track record of successfully managing a client portfolio with a value of 5-8 million AED.
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent understanding of all classes of insurance business lines, including Individual & Corporate Insurances, Marine, Medical, Motor, Professional Indemnity, Property All Risk, and more.
  • Proficiency in sales performance metrics and goal-setting.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a problem-solving mindset.
