Job Title: Pipeline Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipeline Supervisor to join our client's team for a pipeline project in Uganda. As the Pipeline Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising various aspects of pipeline fabrication, installation, testing, and inspection. You will also oversee pipeline construction planning, testing, and inspection, ensuring compliance with ASME B31.3 and other relevant standards.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise the fabrication, installation, testing, and inspection of pipelines. This includes troubleshooting, hydrotesting, commissioning, and repair work on pipelines of various diameters.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise pipeline construction activities, including the installation, testing, and inspection of pipelines, as well as mechanical equipment related to piping.
• Lead the work permit application process and ensure all necessary attachments are prepared according to project HSE procedures.
• Ensure that all site activities are performed safely and in compliance with legal regulations, including environmental regulations.
• Take responsibility for client/vendor coordination and prepare necessary documents, such as site setup plans, obtaining clients' approvals, and job hazard assessments.
• Possess strong knowledge of reading and interpreting mechanical, civil, and structural drawings. Demonstrate comprehensive skills in managing typical oilfield pipeline construction.
• Inspect all fabricated materials after assembly to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications and quality standards.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in all types of welding, including joint set-up, preheating, amps, volts, travel speed, welding consumables, inter-run cleaning, run placement, and visual inspection.
• Support the Oilfield WellPad Area Supervisor on-site, ensuring that construction activities align with all client and project standards and procedures.
• Follow up on the sequence of work-fronts and liaise with construction managers and supervisors to ensure adherence to the Construction Level-3 Schedule.
• Witness and actively participate in subcontractor/vendor site activities as required.
• Ensure planning, coordination, execution, and follow-up of all installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities are done in strict compliance with detailed design and specifications.
• Anticipate problems by addressing planning aspects related to interface issues during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning works.
• Undertake regular site visits to assess work quality and the delivery of the contract, intervening as necessary to ensure activities progress in line with the project schedule.
• Maintain a strong relationship with partners, being flexible when required, but also enforcing strict adherence to achieve project objectives. Liaise with other disciplines as necessary to improve team effectiveness and achieve project objectives and targets.
• Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues and monitor progress relative to the schedule.
• Ensure compliance with HSE instructions, rules, and procedures to meet HSE contractual clauses and other relevant documents.
• Take responsibility for environmental protection and monitoring project environmental performance.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as required.
• Compile necessary reports (daily, weekly, monthly) related to your discipline and scope for the Oilfield Gathering Pipeline and WellPad Area, as required by the Construction Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in pipeline engineering or relevant qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically on large construction projects, with a strong understanding of safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, and best industry practices, such as API and ASME.
• Familiarity with other disciplines and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams or projects.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in English.
