Guildhall is proud to be supporting a leading engineering and construction company in Dubai on a portfolio of major construction and MEP projects across the UAE. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Engineer to join their project controls team. This is a key role responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, tracking project performance, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.

- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring proper sequencing of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
- Establish baseline programs and monitor project progress against approved schedules
- Update schedules based on site progress and prepare recovery plans to address delays
- Analyze critical path activities and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with project teams, procurement, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of project milestones
- Review and integrate subcontractor schedules into the master project program
- Track engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and construction progress
- Prepare S-curves, manpower histograms, resource plans, and progress dashboards
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting project status, variances, and forecast completion dates
- Support delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) claims, and earned value management reporting
- Participate in project meetings and present planning updates to clients, consultants, and management
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and ensure schedule accuracy
- Assist in tender planning, project handover schedules, and final project documentation
- Ensure planning activities comply with contractual requirements, company procedures, and ISO standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and Control is an advantage
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
- Training in Earned Value Management (EVM) or Cost Control is advantageous
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems is preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within construction and MEP projects
- Minimum 3–4 years of GCC experience, preferably within the UAE
- Proven experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting for fast-track engineering and construction projects
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling techniques, critical path analysis, and progress reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ERP systems, and Power BI is an advantage
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
