Guildhall is proud to be supporting a leading construction and development company in Dubai on a portfolio of major building projects across the UAE. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer (Civil) to join their project team. This is a key role responsible for supporting site execution, coordinating construction activities, monitoring project progress, and ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Execution & Construction Management
  • Implement construction programs and site activities as directed by the Project Manager
  • Assist with site mobilization, project set-up, and allocation of resources
  • Monitor daily construction activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials with site foremen
  • Ensure all site works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements
2. Planning & Resource Coordination
  • Assist in developing site organization structures and project manpower plans
  • Coordinate with the Planning Engineer to prepare detailed work programs and material procurement schedules
  • Prepare monthly forecasts for manpower, materials, and resource requirements
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and identify potential delays or constraints
3. Technical Coordination & Engineering Support
  • Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineering teams, and subcontractors to resolve site-related challenges
  • Source materials in accordance with project specifications and prepare technical submittals for consultant approval
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site teams during project execution
4. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and engineering standards
  • Attend consultant inspections and ensure timely close-out of observations and corrective actions
  • Monitor site safety performance and support the implementation of health and safety procedures
  • Recommend improvements to site safety practices and operational efficiency
5. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
  • Review project progress reports and highlight issues affecting quality, cost, and schedule performance
  • Support project reporting requirements through regular site updates and documentation
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical and operational issues
6. Subcontractor Management & Project Close-Out
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project schedules and quality requirements
  • Assist in the review of subcontractor variations, claims, and site-related issues
  • Prepare as-built drawings and support project handover documentation, manuals, and close-out requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in civil, commercial, industrial, or building construction projects
  • Proven experience supervising construction activities on major project sites
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and applicable building codes
  • Excellent construction scheduling, planning, and site management skills
  • Strong budget monitoring, cost reporting, and project coordination experience
  • Experience handling subcontractor performance, variation reports, and claims management
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and manage third-party contractors
  • UAE/GCC construction experience is a plus
  • Arabic-speaking candidates are highly preferred
