Guildhall is seeking a Senior Finance & Analytics Manager for our client, a leading global shipping and maritime services organization. 

Position Overview
This role sits at the intersection of finance and data engineering, responsible for end-to-end ownership of the finance data infrastructure. The successful candidate will combine strong accounting expertise with advanced data engineering capabilities to design, build, and optimize financial data pipelines, enabling high-quality reporting, analysis, and strategic decision-making. In addition, the role will work closely with senior leadership, including the CFO, supporting stakeholder management, ship finance portfolio oversight, and delivering high-impact financial insights and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage end-to-end financial data pipelines, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow from source systems to reporting layers
  • Structure and transform financial data for front-end reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence tools
  • Own and maintain financial models supported by data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and usability
  • Develop robust financial models, including project cash flows, investment analysis, and full three-statement models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights and presentations for senior management and Board-level stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams, data teams, and external financiers
  • Support management of ship finance portfolios and contribute to strategic group-level projects
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement process improvements using Python and ETL tools
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools to enhance decision-making
  • Apply strong commercial judgment to validate outputs, identify anomalies, and ensure financial integrity
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent) with strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Proven experience in building (not just maintaining) end-to-end data pipelines within a finance environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Alteryx (or similar ETL tools)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, macros, and sensitivity analysis
  • Experience designing and managing financial data models and reporting structures
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI for dashboard creation and reporting
  • Ability to handle, clean, and analyse large financial datasets with high accuracy
  • Strong understanding of data integration across ERP systems, data warehouses, and operational platforms
  • Experience in translating financial data into meaningful insights for business decision-making
  • Prior experience in the shipping, maritime, or asset-heavy industries is advantageous
