Senior Planning and Control Engineer

Guildhall is proud to be supporting a leading client in Dubai on a major construction development project. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Planning & Control Engineer to join their project team. This is a key role responsible for managing project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring successful delivery of complex high-rise construction works.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, baseline programs, and execution plans
- Ensure schedules are aligned with project scope and construction methodology
2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against approved baselines
- Perform delay and variance analysis
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports with critical path analysis
3. Risk & Control
- Identify scheduling risks and opportunities
- Support development of mitigation and recovery plans
- Conduct schedule risk assessments when required
4. Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients
- Provide clear updates on project status and key issues
- Support resolution of planning and scheduling conflicts
5. Cost & Claims Support
- Assist in cost control monitoring related to schedule impacts
- Support review of contractor claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) submissions
6. Contractor Management
- Review contractor schedules and planning submissions
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling
- Must have strong experience in high-rise building projects
- GCC experience (Qatar/UAE/KSA) is highly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and knowledge of MS Project is an advantage
- Strong understanding of CPM, EVM, delay analysis, and project controls
- Certified DM Engineer (Unlimited Floors) is required or highly preferred
