Guildhall is seeking an Engineering Manager for our client, a leading contracting firm. This role is responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring effective coordination across disciplines, and delivering high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities across multiple construction projects
  • Direct and integrate technical functions across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines
  • Analyze technical data, project requirements, and performance metrics to identify risks and implement optimal solutions
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Review, approve, and manage engineering designs, drawings, and technical modifications
  • Evaluate and approve material submissions, cost estimates, and comparison statements
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and project specifications
  • Support project teams in resolving complex engineering and construction challenges
  • Monitor project schedules, engineering deliverables, and technical progress
  • Manage subcontractor engineering scope, including reviewing variations and supporting claims resolution
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and findings to clients and senior management
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); professional certifications preferred
  • 15–20 years of experience in construction, with a focus on high-rise, commercial, or industrial projects
  • Proven experience in engineering management and overseeing large-scale construction projects
  • Classified as an Unlimited Floors Engineer (preferred/required depending on jurisdiction)
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design, construction methodologies, and international/local codes
  • Excellent coordination and leadership skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in construction planning, scheduling, and site coordination
  • Solid understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Experience handling subcontractor variations, claims, and contract-related matters
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight deadlines
