Senior Estimator Engineer

Guildhall is recruiting for Senior Estimation Engineer who will be responsible for leading the full cost estimation and tendering process for large-scale construction projects. This role ensures that bids are accurate, competitive, and profitable while meeting all technical and contractual requirements. The position focuses mainly on high-rise building and mixed-use development projects across Qatar.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the complete tendering process from RFP review to final bid submission
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate cost assessments
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for architectural, structural, and MEP works
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Calculate direct and indirect costs such as preliminaries, overheads, profit margins, and taxes
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Ensure compliance with Qatar construction standards and project specifications
- Perform cost benchmarking and support commercial decision-making
- Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety
- Assess financial and contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tender submissions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 8–12+ years of experience in construction estimation and tendering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Qatar construction industry
- Strong experience in high-rise building or large-scale construction projects
- Proficiency in estimation software such as Candy (CCS), CostX, PlanSwift, or AutoCAD
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and cost planning methods
- Good understanding of FIDIC contracts
- Familiarity with Qatar authorities and tendering processes (Ashghal, Kahramaa, etc.)
- UPDA/MMUP Grade A certification is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial skills
