Senior Quantity Surveyor

Guildhall is currently supporting a well-established client in the UAE with the search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong professional with a proven background in construction contracts, cost control, claims, and project commercial management.
The successful candidate will bring 12+ years of relevant experience and must have strong working knowledge of CVR, CTC, and EOT. This role will play a key part in protecting commercial interests across the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract planning through to post-contract administration and final account close-out.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities
* Supporting contract strategy and contract execution planning
* Reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risk
* Handling contract administration and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
* Managing claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) submissions
* Preparing reports, correspondence, and claim analysis for negotiation and dispute resolution
* Monitoring project costs, budgets, cost variances, and commercial performance
* Supporting procurement planning and subcontract administration
* Ensuring timely certification, invoicing, collections, and positive cash flow
* Overseeing project close-out, including final accounts and dispute resolution support
Requirements:
* Minimum 12 years of experience in quantity surveying / commercial roles
* Strong experience across CVR, CTC, and EOT
* Proven background in project cost control, claims, contract management, procurement, and final accounts
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with project, procurement, engineering, construction, and finance teams
* Excellent understanding of contractual notices, budget control, commercial reporting, and cost recovery mechanisms
