Guildhall is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer to oversee the development and delivery of complex structural systems across a portfolio of building and infrastructure projects for our client, a Contracting firm. The successful candidate will lead structural design teams, coordinate closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensure all designs meet international codes and project requirements. This role will play a key part in guiding projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.

- Technical Leadership: Lead the development, analysis, and review of complex structural designs and calculations for buildings, foundations, and large-scale structural systems including reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Design Oversight: Ensure structural designs are optimized for safety, efficiency, and compliance with international standards and project specifications.
- Team Management: Mentor and guide junior engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD technicians while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project schedules.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure integrated, clash-free design solutions.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant local regulations and international codes including ACI, AISC, and BS/Eurocodes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Review and approve structural drawings, design calculations, technical reports, and material specifications.
- Construction Support: Provide technical guidance during construction, addressing site queries and ensuring structural works are executed according to design intent.
- Quality Assurance: Implement design review processes and ensure engineering best practices across all structural deliverables.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, preferably within engineering consultancies or large construction projects.
- Project Exposure: Proven experience delivering high-rise buildings, complex structural systems, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of structural analysis and modeling tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD/Revit.
- Professional Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license or membership in a recognized professional engineering body is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong expertise in load transfer systems, structural stability, and advanced structural analysis methods.
- Communication Skills: Ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination and communicate complex engineering solutions to stakeholders.
