Guildhall is currently partnering with a well-established contracting firm in the UAE involved in a major development project in the Dubai Creek area. Our client is seeking an experienced Planning & Control Engineer to join their project team and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project. The Planning & Control Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role requires strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control within large construction projects, particularly high-rise developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, baselines, and execution plans.
  • Monitor project progress against schedules, perform variance analysis, and prepare detailed progress reports.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities, conduct schedule risk analysis, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Align project resources with schedules and maintain integrated resource planning systems.
  • Support cost control activities, monitor cost trends, and assist in processing contractor claims and change orders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports, including graphs and critical path analyses.
  • Review contractor planning submissions, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry.
  • Experience working on high-rise building projects is essential.
  • Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors).
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and within a project team.
