A well-capitalised international developer is preparing to deliver a €300 million landmark high-rise tower as a part of a total EUR1bn investment in Cyprus and is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the project from early construction through to completion.
This is a senior, delivery-led role suited to a Project Director with a Tier-1 main contractor background and proven GCC high-rise experience, who is comfortable operating with full authority on a complex, high-value vertical build.
The Project Director will report directly to the CEO and will have end-to-end responsibility for programme, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and delivery of a €300m+ high-rise tower from mobilisation to handover
- Full responsibility for programme, cost control, construction strategy, quality and HSE
- Management of the main contractor, consultants, and specialist subcontractors
- Oversight of construction methodology, sequencing, logistics, and vertical build strategy
- Interface with ownership, lenders, authorities, and external stakeholders
- Establishment and enforcement of robust project controls, reporting and governance
- Resolution of technical, commercial, and programme risks as they arise
- Leadership of a multi-disciplinary, multinational project team
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years’ experience in major building construction
- Demonstrated delivery of high-rise / tower projects (ideally $400m+ in value)
- Strong background with a Tier-1 main contractor (e.g. ALEC, ACC, Multiplex, Samsung C&T, Laing O’Rourke, etc.)
- GCC project experience (UAE / KSA / Qatar) on complex vertical builds
- Experience managing large site teams and multiple work packages
- Strong commercial awareness and contract administration capability
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Work Authorisation Requirement (Mandatory):
- Must already hold the right to work in the EU/EEA or Cyprus, or
- Be clearly eligible for a Cyprus highly-skilled work permit (senior role, degree-qualified, high-value appointment)
Desirable:
- Experience on mixed-use or landmark/architecturally complex towers
- Previous exposure to developer-side or client-facing leadership roles
- Experience working under international ownership structures
- Chartered Engineer / CIOB / PMP or equivalent professional accreditation
