Guildhall is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, budgeting, and reporting for our client, they are a leading multinational company that operates in construction, hospitality, renewable energy, airports and air freight industry. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the construction or contracting sector and be well-versed in project accounting, cost control, and compliance with local financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and review financial statements, cash flow reports, and budget forecasts
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensure accurate cost allocation and timely invoicing
  • Track and manage subcontractor and supplier payments and certificates
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and coordinate tax filings
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual closings
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
  • Support project managers with financial data and analysis as needed
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems like SAP or Oracle)
  • Good understanding of UAE VAT laws and compliance
  • Professional certifications like CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and construction cost controls
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
