Guildhall is assisting a leading construction company in filling the role of QA/QC Engineer for a bridge construction project in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with a background in construction and some bridge experience to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for the bridge construction project.
• Conduct inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure that quality procedures are integrated throughout the construction process.
• Oversee the testing of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure conformity with project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), and provide regular updates to the senior management team.
• Address any quality-related issues, deviations, or deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective action is taken.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that all materials meet the required quality standards.
• Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and material submittals for compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all QA/QC activities.
• Provide guidance and training to the project team and subcontractors on quality management processes.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• At least 1 bridge project experience is required, with a solid understanding of bridge construction standards and techniques.
• Familiarity with quality assurance and control procedures, inspection processes, and construction codes.
• Strong knowledge of materials, testing methods, and quality standards in the construction industry.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve quality issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as specifications, drawings, and contracts.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and QA/QC management software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
