Guildhall is assisting a leading construction company in finding a highly skilled QA/QC Manager for a bridge construction project in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance and control management, specifically in large-scale construction projects, and a proven background in overseeing the quality processes for bridge construction. - Develop and implement the overall QA/QC strategy and plan for the bridge construction project, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage the QA/QC team, overseeing daily activities to ensure all construction processes, materials, and workmanship adhere to quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and testing of materials and workmanship to ensure that all quality control measures are being followed.
- Review and approve all inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, material submittals, and other quality-related documentation.
- Manage and resolve non-conformities, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and documented in a timely manner.
- Coordinate closely with the project management team, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve any quality issues and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Maintain and update detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions, providing timely reports to senior management.
- Monitor the performance of the project’s quality management system and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards, codes, and best practices in construction quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI).
- Oversee the training and development of site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on quality assurance and control processes.
- Provide leadership in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices in relation to quality control activities.
- 8+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- At least 2 years of experience as a QA/QC Manager or in a similar leadership role in construction projects.
- At least 1 bridge construction project experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge of QA/QC procedures, including the management of inspections, material testing, and quality documentation.
- Strong understanding of construction codes, standards, and regulations relevant to bridge construction.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience with project management and QA/QC management software tools.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications in Quality Assurance/Control (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are a plus.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
