Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Growth & Business Development Manager to expand market presence and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue in the cleantech or sustainability industry. This role is suited for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and can adapt to the evolving needs of a startup.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a structured framework for business development to achieve company growth targets.
- Drive consultative sales approaches by deeply understanding customer needs, managing product customization requests, and negotiating value-based solutions.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities while balancing customer-specific requests with scalable product development priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at large enterprises, managing all aspects of client relationships from lead generation to deal closure.
- Conduct outbound outreach and manage the sales pipeline to drive lead conversions.
- Apply structured sales methodologies (e.g., LAER, MEDDIC) to ensure consistent progress throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct market research to analyze trends, assess competitors, and contribute to pricing strategies and target market selection.
- Assess both financial and strategic value of opportunities, prioritizing those that align with the company's long-term goals.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure customer feedback informs product development while staying aligned with strategic goals.
- Adapt to potential shifts in strategy as the company evolves, maintaining a solutions-oriented approach.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to strengthen brand presence and expand market reach.
- Contribute to refining the company's go-to-market strategy, competitor analysis, and partnership development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated success in business development, sales, or related areas, preferably within B2B SaaS, sustainability, or cleantech industries.
- Experience with consultative selling and managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and business strategies, with the ability to assess and prioritize customer needs.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers at large enterprises.
- Experience with structured sales methodologies such as LAER, MEDDIC, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and G-Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events, locally and regionally.
