Chapman Tate are looking for an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to a variety of issues. You will be working in one of their 12 office locations where you will join a dynamic team. You will work closely with multiple offices.

The role responsibilities:

-          Monitor the incoming tickets queue and pick up tier 1 and 2 tickets

-          Knowledge of Active Directory is and have some experience in it with user and group membership creation / management

-          New user creation and Group membership. Email address creation

-          Offboarding users leaving the company

-          Deploying new laptops and desktops. Deploying pre-configured printers. Deploying peripherals (keyboard, mouse, screens)

-          Deploying Mobile devices (phone, tablet)

-          Desktop, Laptop, peripherals and Printer troubleshooting

-          Providing Server and VPN access (using security groups) after securing the correct approval from Line Managers / IT Management)

-          Setting up desks / equipment for and providing IT inductions to new starters

-          Install Business Software (ERP, CAD, Communication software) on existing equipment + basic troubleshooting

-          Basic network (wired and wireless) troubleshooting. We have test equipment to quickly read port settings and IP + VLAN information. They need to be able to interpret and relay that information to our Network Management team

-          Quickly assess bigger problems (affecting groups of users) and alert the correct team (Server or Network management) while relaying all pertinent information about the issue

This role will suit an individual that is able to work as the sole IT support for an office and demonstrates passion and motivation to their day to day. You will be able to prioritise urgent requirements and work on a variety of projects. You will like a fast-paced environment that provides daily challenges and perform well under pressure.

Requirements of the role

The successful candidate will possess the following

-       Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Products

-       Experience troubleshooting/repairing desktop and laptop computers

-       Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange environments

-       Experience with Helpdesk ticketing software and computer imaging

Desirable but not essential

-       Some experience installing and configuring CAD products

-       Some experience with ERP software
