CTA management team are pleased to be recruiting for a 1st Line Support Engineer on a 6-month contract for an organisation based in Birmingham. Your day to day responsibilities:
  • Take calls and process email requests and convert them into incidents and service requests.
  • Provide technical support to users over the phone and at their desks;
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve hardware/software faults related to end user PC’s, systems, network and printers
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Setting up new user’s accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
  • Identifying critical threshold levels for assets and advising when replenishments are required.
  • Maintaining the asset register/database
  • Provide basic reports/statistics on the services delivered to users
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with users, the technology team, suppliers and other stakeholders 

You will ideally demonstrate skills and experience in:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 10 Operating system
  • Knowledge of supporting, fault finding and resolving issues on PC hardware and peripherals, configuring printers and local area networks.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility including shift and out of hours working
  • Eligible for CRB clearance
