Chapman Tate are working with a developing IT Managed Services company based in Maidstone. The company is well established and have received many awards since their inception. Recently the company have acquired a large contract with a pivotal organisation in the public sector which is why they’re looking to hire a 2nd line support engineer. You will receive training and a career development plan upon your start.

The role requires strong knowledge and experience of using deployment SCCM due to the nature of the project that you’ll be working on. Knowledge of the following technologies is essential: Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office, Citrix clients, build, testing, AD and Office 365. The ability to explain IT concisely and coherently to people who may have limited IT knowledge will be a valued skill.

Experience in public settings or MSP are advantageous but not essential. Citrix is also beneficial but not essential.

Your duties as a 2nd line engineer will be to provide exemplary technical support combined with high levels of customer service to the clients onsite and remotely. You will be eager to learn and will be receptive to new information and skills. A day’s work will consist of escalating issues, maintaining daily checks are executed, meeting and exceeding SLAs to ensure targets are met as well as working on projects. This role does include client site visits around the surrounding areas so access to a car will be essential.

This role does include on call rotation within the team which you will receive payment for.

In exchange for your hard work, you will receive training, car allowance and out of hours payments as well as a supportive working environment.

This role will suit if you are an established 2nd line or thinking of progress into 3rd line.
